I live in Preston with my partner and 3 kids.
I trained as a midwife about 10 years ago, while having children of my own.
I have worked in the hospital system and as an independent midwife but have recently decided to step back from that role and work with women as a birth attendant or doula. Practicing as a birth attendant, rather than a midwife, frees me up to focus on the aspects of care that are most important to me — namely, being there for women throughout their childbearing journey.
Over the years I have gathered a wealth of experience in supporting women through pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and the early weeks of parenting. These are profound events in a mother's and baby's life - I always feel it is an honour to be included in a family's life at this time.
As well as completing a Bachelor of Midwifery, I have a certificate of Childbirth Education from the Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne.
